Last week Steller Systems successfully trialed its innovative Inflatable Launch & Recovery System (ILARS) on the Hunt Class mine countermeasures vessel HMS Ledbury, deploying a REMUS 300 Unmanned Underwater Vehicle.
ILARS represents a unique, payload-agnostic solution capable of launching and recovering a wide range of Unmanned Surface and Underwater Vehicles (USVs and UUVs), whilst prioritising operator safety by minimising the need for personnel in the water. Its simple, lightweight, and cost-effective design can be easily scaled for various payload requirements. Additionally, ILARS’s inflatable construction offers exceptional protection to both payload and host vessel, providing an efficient and reliable solution for advanced naval operations.
