Steller Systems Signs Strategic Agreement With SeeByte

Steller Systems has signed a strategic agreement with SeeByte to be its Autonomy partner for one of Steller Systems’ major projects to develop a highly innovative unmanned vessel.

SeeByte provides clients in the maritime sector with the most advanced software solutions to enhance the capabilities of their underwater sensors, vehicles and systems.

Speaking at DSEI, Steller Systems’ Managing Director Robert Skarda said:

“The signing of this MOU between Steller Systems and SeeByte reflects a major milestone in the development of Steller Systems’ unmanned vehicle project, as well as the growing importance of unmanned vessels to Naval Capability, Steller Systems and the industry as a whole.  We are excited about the possibilities for closer collaboration on  our  projects”.

2019 has seen an increase in unmanned vehicle work for the company, and this year Steller Systems has been at the forefront of their design as well as helping its clients understand the integration of these on to manned vessels, submarines and other systems.  In early 2019 the company secured its first contract with the Defence & Security Accelerator, run by the Defence Science & Technology Laboratory (Dstl) in order to conduct tank testing of a highly innovative unmanned vessel concept.  Steller Systems’ team also has extensive experience of designing vessels for USVs, such as SPARTAN, our concept design for a light Frigate.
