Steller Systems was pleased to welcome the First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Sir Philip Jones and the Second Sea Lord and Deputy Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Simon Woodcock to its stand at DSEI on 12th and 13th September 2017. Other distinguished guests included the Head of the Navy Capability Shipbuilding Strategy Commodore John MacDonald and DE&S Director of Ship Acquisition Henry Parker.
The First Sea Lord and Steller Systems’ Managing Director Rob Skarda held broad-ranging discussions, including about Steller Systems’ innovative design for Type 31e, SPARTAN. SPARTAN is a configurable, modular, survivable, affordable and exportable ship that has been designed to meet or exceed the Royal Navy’s current and future requirements for a General Purpose Frigate, and satisfy the export market’s need for a small, capable warship.
The visit was one of many highlights of Steller Systems’ week exhibiting at the world’s leading defence and security event at ExCeL in London.
