Steller Systems is a fast-growing consultancy that can offer a varied, rewarding career for motivated individuals who relish a challenge.
We are looking for team players with strong technical skills and an ability to communicate clearly. We know that our people are our business, and so we are dedicated to empowering, inspiring and leading them to ensure that they always give their best.
You will be joining a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of naval architects, marine engineers, systems engineers and structural engineers. It is highly likely that you will be involved in a wide variety of projects spanning our capability areas, ranging from short projects conducting discrete tasks to major projects providing long-term support to our clients.
Applicants must be comfortable switching seamlessly between working individually and as part of a team. We value team working, and our staff enjoy regular team building activity days, such as sailing, shooting, golfing and windsurfing.
You will be based in our Grade II listed offices located in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold town of Nailsworth, or at our office in Hamble, Hampshire. Many of our staff live in the dynamic and lively city of Bristol, just a short drive away from our Nailsworth office, or in one of many beautiful towns and villages in the Cotswolds. From time to time your work will take you to customer sites and vessels in the UK and abroad. In the last few years, our work has taken us to New Zealand, South Africa, Chile, the Falkland Islands, Malaysia and Thailand.
Our staff are supported in developing their own areas of technical interest and pursuing their personal professional development aims. They are encouraged to produce technical papers in their respective fields, and regularly present their work at technical conferences.
Graduates will benefit from our graduate scheme, which focusses on providing a broad range of experiences both within the company and through external placements. Initially, graduates will work closely with more experienced members of staff in order to deliver projects with significant technical content, as well as to manage smaller tasks themselves. Graduates are also given the opportunity to gain in-depth experience in specific technical areas.
